The Hampton Arts Staff

The Captain has been a familiar face at Hampton Arts since 1994. A native of Appomattox, VA, she moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the Justice Department after she graduated from high school. She came to Hampton Roads in 1978 and worked at Fort Monroe for more than 15 years. She retired from civil service after 20 years in 1993. Evelyn is responsible for the ads in all of the Hampton Arts publications. She is married to J.C. McDonald and they have three children and ten beautiful grandchildren. Evelyn spends all of her free time with her grandson Joshua and the rest of her family in Hampton and Florida. She received a B.A. in Human Resources Management from St. Leo College in 1988.
