The Mystical Arts of Tibet
Tuesday, July 30 - Sunday, August 4

Over the course of four days, the monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery construct a beautiful Mandala (sand painting). Millions of grains of colored sand are painstakingly poured into this unique work of art and inspiration. The monks work on the Mandala for 8 hours each day and then, once completed, it is destroyed to symbolize the impermanence of all that exists. The tinted sands will be swept up and poured into the ocean where the waters will carry the healing energies throughout the world.
