We're in a knot over Cirque Zuma Zuma!

Audiences and critics in Europe and Australia agree – Cirque Zuma Zuma is unlike anything they have ever seen before! Founded in 2005 as the touring company of the zuma-zuma-club-juggling-2011.jpgworld-renowned African Acrobatics International Academy, the troupe burst onto the U.S. scene after its celebrated performance on Season 6 of “America’s Got Talent” and continues to wow audiences worldwide.

Many describe it as an African-style Cirque du Soleil; such is the standard of the performers and the quality of the show’s live musical score. Like Cirque, their talent pool of 120 loyal performers has a family business kind of feel.

Because of the wealth of talent at my training school, the show can be customized to suit audience and venue needs and a range of formats.

“Cirque Zuma Zuma will take your breath away,” said Hampton Arts Artistic Director Richard M. Parison, Jr. “Not only is the multi-disciplinary cast incredibly talented, but the show is fused with a great sense of tradition and authenticity in regards to African culture.”

Among the acrobatics and other circus-related acts, audiences will experience the celebratory Zulu reed dance, which is part of a traditional ceremony performed in the regions populated by the Zulus; as well as the Gumboot dance, which originates from the gold mining culture of South Africa.

There are limited seats available for the Cirque Zuma Zuma performance at The American Theatre on Sunday, February 19 at 2:30! Get your tickets today!
